Mental Health Supports at Inland Leaders Charter School
Inland Leaders Charter School is committed to supporting the whole child by providing high-quality educational programs along with resources that promote students’ social and emotional well-being. We understand that mental health and emotional wellness can have a significant impact on a student’s ability to learn, build relationships, and experience success at school. To help meet these needs, ILCS provides students with access to school-based mental health supports and resources.
ILCS has a mental health counselor who is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and provides support to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. These services are designed to help students develop healthy coping skills, strengthen emotional well-being, and better access their educational program.
ILCS also participates in California’s Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI). Through this state-supported program, eligible students may have access to ongoing behavioral health and therapeutic services throughout the school year. Participation in CYBHI helps Inland Leaders expand access to mental health services and provide families with additional support when students may benefit from continued therapeutic care.
